Even though this mythical evil mermaid(not Ariel) can turn in a human like figure her green skin, long fingernails(just a slight look in the pic) distinguish her from mere mortals. Qalupalik likes to snatch children playing near the shore with her humming voice

So if you ever hear a humming sound near shore first send someone else to check if they don't return
